Perna de Pau is born from the sensory memory of childhood: the taste of an ice cream at the beach, the warmth of summer days and that light sweetness that slowly melts away. The creamy texture of oil sticks approaches that dense, enveloping, almost tactile sensation, as if color could melt on the surface of the paper. In each piece, matter and memory meet; gesture becomes remembrance and color becomes flavor. These are organic, textured and luminous pieces, where summer turns into image.
